I really need IELTS help.  I got 6 in speaking and writing and I need 7.  What can I do?

This happens a lot.  At upmyielts, we can generally increase your speaking/writing score by 1 Band score.  However, it depends on certain things.

• For some you, your English level is just not high enough.  It doesn’t matter if you do the exam 10 times, you won’t be awarded Band 7.
• For some you, you aren’t doing what you need to do in the exam and this is where IELTS examiners can really show you what you need to do.
• For some of you that have never done IELTS before, you need to have your writing and speaking assessed professionally before you do the exam to make sure that you are going to get what you need.

What can I do?

So, if your English level is too low, we can put you in touch with English teachers, real English teachers who are experienced and know how to improve your English efficiently.

If you are going to do IELTS, examiners here can tell you what you would get if you did the exam tomorrow and show you what you need to do to get higher marks.

The keys IELTS success are

• Make sure you are going to get what you need by preparing properly.
• Don’t self-study when it comes to speaking and writing (unless you’re are proficient in English)
• Get your writing and speaking assessed by a professional.
• Be realistic in your IELTS goals.  If you are Band 6 now, you have at least a year of full-time study in an English school ahead of you.  There are no shortcuts.
